for lead-zinc deposits. the Boquira deposit, in Bahia state. The Morro Agudo is the only Zn-Pb mine in Brazil, with an ore reserve of 9, tonnes, at average grades of % Zn and % Pb. The host rocks are dolomites from the Morro do Calcario. Named in by Gustav Adolph Kenngott in honor of Emmanuel Ludwig (Louis) Gruner [ Ittigen, Switzerland - Ma Beaucaire, France], professor of chemistry at the Ecole Nationale Superieure des Mines de Saint-Etienne and later chief mining engineer of Poitiers Department following as director of the School of Mines at Saint-Etienne.

The magnesium-iron-manganese subgroup amphiboles are defined with Mg, Fe or Mn as the dominant element in the B position, or B (Ca + ΣM 2+)/ΣB ≥B ΣM 2+ /ΣB > B Ca/ΣB, where M is Mg, Fe and Mn. This subgroup contains both monoclinic (cummingtonite and grunerite groups) and orthorhombic (anthophyllite and gedrite groups) root name groups.

Regarding developing economies, such as the case of Brazil in Boquira, Santo Amaro - Bahia State and the Vale do Ribeira Region - São Paulo State, these will be addressed separately in articles highlighted by the book that will not have additional considerations here, just their record.

Additional point-source lead pollution associated with mining may be found at the Morro Agudo zinc mine (in the state of Minas Gerais) and around past lead-ore producers such as the Boquira mine (in the state of Bahia) and several middle-sized mines in the Ribeira Valley (in the states of Paraná and São Paulo).
